AI summary

Kajaria Ceramics' board, at its meeting on September 29, 2025, approved the re-designation of three members of the promoter family in top leadership roles for a 5-year term starting October 1, 2025. Mr. Ashok Kajaria (78, founder) moves to Chairman as a whole-time director, while his sons Mr. Chetan Kajaria and Mr. Rishi Kajaria have been elevated to Vice Chairman and Managing Director respectively, from their earlier roles as Joint Managing Directors. All appointments are subject to shareholder approval. Separately, the board approved increasing the investment limit in subsidiary Kajaria Adhesive Private Limited (KAPL) from Rs. 16 crore to Rs. 23 crore, along with Rs. 6 crore in working capital support, to help set up an adhesives manufacturing unit in Erode, Tamil Nadu over the next 6-9 months.

Likely market impact

A clear succession plan is now in place with the second generation (Chetan and Rishi) taking full operational charge while the founder remains as Chairman. The increased investment signals continued expansion into tile adhesives but is small relative to the parent's size, and KAPL currently has nil turnover with a Rs. 7.31 lakh loss.
