Karnataka Bank reported audited financial results for FY2026 with total income of Rs 10,320.72 crore, marginally higher than Rs 10,283.12 crore in FY2025. Net profit grew 3% to Rs 1,310.50 crore from Rs 1,272.37 crore, with EPS improving to Rs 34.66 from Rs 33.69. Q4 standalone net profit jumped 40% to Rs 408.19 crore versus Rs 290.79 crore in Q4 FY2025. The bank achieved significant improvement in asset quality with gross NPA falling to 2.78% from 3.08% and net NPA dropping to 0.98% from 1.31%. Capital adequacy ratio strengthened to 20.07% from 19.85%. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 5 per share (50% of face value). Joint Statutory Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated financial statements.
Positive results for shareholders with improved profitability, better asset quality, and strengthened capital position. The clean audit opinion removes concerns. However, the modest 3% PAT growth is below expectations for a high-growth signal. The stock could see modest positive reaction given NPA improvements and dividend declaration.
