KEC International has secured new orders worth Rs. 3,243 crores for international Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. The orders include 400 kV transmission lines in the UAE and supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas. The company described the UAE order as its largest ever EPC order to date. With these wins, KEC's year-to-date order intake now stands at approximately Rs. 11,700 crores. Management highlighted the Middle East as a strategic growth driver and noted the orders will support their targeted growth plan.
Positive for the stock — these sizeable international orders strengthen KEC's order book and revenue visibility, with the UAE order being a record win that reinforces its position in a key growth region. The 5%+ revenue size of the order could be seen as a meaningful catalyst by investors.
