On the reaction day the stock moved 1.3 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 2.4 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
KEC secured turnkey orders worth Rs 2,872 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for designing, supplying and installing 765 kV transmission lines. It is the company's largest single India transmission order and supports the evacuation of 8.5 GW of renewable energy from Gujarat. Year-to-date order intake exceeded Rs 13,500 crore, including about Rs 9,500 crore from the transmission business.
The large order win strengthens the order book and future revenue visibility, although execution and profit margins remain uncertain.
