Kotak Mahindra Bank has finalised terms for USD 650 million senior notes under its USD 1 billion euro medium term note programme. The notes carry a 5.478% fixed annual coupon, are rated BBB by S&P, and have a 5-year tenure maturing August 24, 2031. They are unsecured and will be listed on India INX and NSE IFSC. Proceeds will diversify the bank's funding sources and meet general corporate purposes.
Shows access to global debt markets and diversifies funding mix. Mildly positive as it strengthens the bank's capital base.
