The Board approved capital spending of up to Rs 185 crore for a Phase-3 expansion of specialised magnet winding wires at the Supa facility. Total capacity is expected to rise from 57,845 metric tonnes to about 72,200 metric tonnes by Q1 FY2028-29. Current capacity use is 75%. Funding will come from internal accruals, debt or a mix. The company aims to improve its product mix, efficiency and ability to meet rising demand.
More capacity could support sales and efficiency, but construction and debt funding may pressure cash flow and returns until the expansion contributes.
