Kuantum Papers has restarted Paper Machine 4 (PM4) at its Saila Khurd, Hoshiarpur (Punjab) manufacturing facility on 30th June 2025, following the completion of a major technological upgradation and rebuild project. The rebuilt machine features shoe press technology, improved automation, and enhanced drying capability. The upgrade is part of the company's strategic plan to improve paper quality, operational efficiency, and production throughput. It is also expected to enable product diversification into higher-value writing & printing paper and specialty paper grades.
