Lactose (India) Limited's Board approved its Q2 FY26 (ended Sept 30, 2025) unaudited results with an unmodified limited review opinion from auditor D M K H & Co. Revenue from operations jumped to Rs 4,118.13 lakhs in Q2, up about 35% YoY from Rs 3,044.72 lakhs. Net profit after tax rose modestly to Rs 215.88 lakhs (vs Rs 203.28 lakhs), translating to a basic EPS of Rs 1.71 (vs Rs 1.61). For H1 FY26, revenue grew 35% to Rs 8,075.69 lakhs but PAT slipped to Rs 365.73 lakhs from Rs 430.24 lakhs due to higher raw material and manufacturing costs. Operating cash flow turned strongly positive at Rs 1,248.76 lakhs versus a negative Rs 100.24 lakhs in H1 FY25. The company also disclosed that its proposed merger with Vitanosh Ingredients Pvt Ltd has received BSE's No Objection Certificate (Aug 22, 2025) and is now awaiting NCLT approval.
Strong top-line growth (~35%) and a sharp swing to positive operating cash flow are positives for shareholders, but flat-to-declining PAT suggests margin pressure from rising input costs. Watch for NCLT approval progress on the Vitanosh merger, which could be a key catalyst.
