Lactose India reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 4,118.13 lakhs, up about 35% year-on-year from Rs. 3,044.72 lakhs. Half-yearly revenue stood at Rs. 8,075.69 lakhs vs Rs. 5,990.99 lakhs in H1 FY25, a roughly 35% jump. Net profit for Q2 was Rs. 215.88 lakhs (vs Rs. 203.28 lakhs, up ~6% YoY), but H1 PAT declined to Rs. 365.73 lakhs from Rs. 430.24 lakhs in H1 FY25 due to higher input and manufacturing costs. Basic EPS for the quarter was Rs. 1.71. The auditor (D M K H & Co) issued an unmodified limited review report. Note that the company is awaiting NCLT approval for its merger with Vitanosh Ingredients Pvt Ltd (BSE NOC received in August 2025).
Strong top-line growth signals healthy demand, but shrinking margins and a lower H1 PAT may weigh on sentiment. The pending Vitanosh merger could reshape the business once NCLT clearance comes through. Investors should watch for margin recovery in upcoming quarters.
