Lactose India reported strong FY2026 results with total income rising 39.5% to Rs 16,436.20 lakhs (from Rs 11,785.32 lakhs). Revenue from operations grew 40.3% year-on-year to Rs 16,329.01 lakhs. Net profit after tax increased 17.4% to Rs 606.28 lakhs. EBITDA margin compressed from 14.6% in FY2025 to 11.2% in FY2026 due to higher material costs. Operating cash flow turned positive at Rs 555.58 lakhs (vs negative Rs 29.24 lakhs in FY2025). Working capital needs increased significantly with inventory rising Rs 3,139.56 lakhs and receivables up Rs 1,182.01 lakhs. Borrowings decreased from Rs 5,619.08 lakhs to Rs 4,935.59 lakhs. Pending merger with Vitanosh Ingredients awaits SEBI and NCLT approval. Auditors gave an unqualified clean opinion.
The stock shows solid top-line growth over 40% but margin compression is a concern. Positive operating cash flow after prior year outflow is a positive signal. Shareholders may benefit if the company maintains revenue growth while improving operational efficiency.
