L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions has secured a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from DVC CIL Power Private Ltd, a joint venture of Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India, for the main plant package of the 2x800 MW (1,600 MW) Chandrapura thermal power plant in Jharkhand. The formal Notice to Proceed will follow once environmental clearances are secured. L&T's scope covers design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines, generators and electrostatic precipitators, plus associated civil and electrical works. The ultra-supercritical units will deliver higher thermal efficiency and lower emissions. The order is classified as Major, valued between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 crore.
