L&T's Transportation Infrastructure vertical has won a 'Significant' order (valued between ₹1,000 and ₹2,500 crore as per L&T's own classification) to build a 3.2 km Extradosed Cable-Stayed Bridge over the Muri Ganga River in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, connecting Sagar Island. The scope includes 2+2 lane bridge construction with a 177m maximum span, approach roads (0.9 km and 0.65 km on either side), Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Bridge Health Monitoring, and architectural lighting.
