On the reaction day the stock moved in line with Nifty 100 and 0.4 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
L&T's Minerals & Metals (M&M) business has secured a 'Large' classified EPC order from Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), a Vedanta Group company. The scope covers building a 250 KTPA Leaching, Purification & Cellhouse facility and a 125 KTPA Jarosite Circuit at HZL's Debari Smelter Complex in Rajasthan, producing Special High Grade Zinc Cathodes (99.995% Zn). As a 'Large' order under L&T's own classification, the value lies between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. The win continues L&T's three-decade partnership with HZL and aligns with HZL's ongoing capacity expansion plans.
Mildly positive for the stock — adds to L&T's already robust order book, but the value is modest relative to L&T's overall scale (USD 30 billion group). Reinforces L&T's leadership in India's domestic minerals & metals EPC segment and provides earnings visibility over the project's execution period.
