On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.0 pts less than its Housing Finance Company peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

LIC Housing Finance reported Q2 FY27 profit after tax of Rs 1,508.78 crore, up 11%, and operating revenue of Rs 7,175.08 crore, up 1%. Disbursements rose 11% to Rs 18,127 crore and the loan book grew 5% to Rs 326,173 crore. Net interest margin fell from 2.62% to 2.58% as loan yields declined faster than funding costs. Stage 3 loan assets improved to 2.05% from 2.51%, and total credit loss provisions fell to Rs 4,292 crore.
Higher profit, loan growth and better asset quality support the outlook, but lower net interest margin may limit earnings growth and keep the stock under pressure.
