LIC reported record FY2026 results with PAT growing 19.25% to Rs.57,419 crore. Total Premium Income rose 9.80% to Rs.5,35,984 crore, driven by strong growth in Individual Business (6.37%) and Group Business (16.26%). Value of New Business surged 41.63% to Rs.14,179 crore with Net VNB Margin expanding by 360 basis points to 21.2%. Individual Non-Par APE grew 43.78%, increasing its share of Individual Business from 27.69% to 35.11%. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs.10 per share and announced a 1:1 bonus issue. Solvency Ratio improved to 2.35 from 2.11, while Expense Ratio reduced by 51 bps to 11.91%. AUM grew 5.08% to Rs.57,29,396 crore. Market leadership retained with 56.66% overall market share.
Strong all-round performance with profit growth, margin expansion, and shareholder rewards (dividend + bonus issue) signals robust fundamentals. The shift toward higher-margin Non-Par products and improving VNB margins indicate better profitability ahead, which should be positive for the stock.
