Lloyds Metals reported strong operational performance for the first nine months of FY26. Iron ore production rose 50% year-on-year to 12.9 million tonnes, surpassing the full-year FY25 output. Q3FY26 alone saw iron ore volumes of 5.5 million tonnes, a 110% jump aided by the new slurry pipeline. DRI output grew 22% YoY to 291,099 tonnes, helped by the commissioning of a new 360 KTPA DRI facility at Ghugus. The newly operational 4 MTPA pellet plant produced 1.95 million tonnes, achieving over 95% annualized capacity utilization. An additional 4.5 million tonnes of BHQ (lower-grade iron ore) was mined and is awaiting beneficiation plant commissioning.
This is a strongly positive operational update showing volume growth, successful commissioning of new facilities (slurry pipeline, pellet plant, DRI capacity), and high capacity utilization. Likely to boost investor confidence, though stock reaction may depend on how the market weighs these volumes against pricing and margin trends.
