Lloyds Metals signed a non-binding MoU with Tata Steel to explore cooperation in raw material mining, logistics, pellets and steel making. Focus is on iron ore mining and slurry pipeline in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Tata Steel may also partner in Lloyds existing steel projects. Separately, Tata Steel acquired a 50.01% stake in Brahmani River Pellet Limited which operates a 4 MTPA pellet plant and 212 km slurry pipeline in Odisha. Subject to due diligence and approvals.
Strategic tie-up with Tata Steel validates Lloyds Metals expansion and may unlock value, though MoU is non-binding and subject to due diligence.
