LTIMindtree has won a ₹792 Crore mandate from the Government of India's Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to build and operate the PAN 2.0 platform. The project will unify all PAN and TAN services into a single, AI-powered digital platform as part of the government's e-governance push. LTIMindtree will handle end-to-end delivery — from infrastructure setup (data centre, disaster recovery, security operations) to AI-led data deduplication, Aadhaar integration, multilingual helpdesk, and long-term operations and maintenance. The rollout is planned over the next 18 months, making it a multi-year revenue engagement rather than a one-time deal.
This is a landmark government contract that strengthens LTIMindtree's public sector and e-governance portfolio, providing revenue visibility over multiple years. While the deal size (~2% of annual revenue) is moderate, the strategic value of being chosen for a flagship national digital infrastructure project should boost sentiment around the stock and its government business pipeline.
