Lupin's Dutch subsidiary VISUfarma signed an exclusive license deal with US-based Visus Therapeutics to commercialize YUVEZZI, an FDA-approved eye drop for presbyopia (age-related near vision loss), across EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland. Deal worth up to 75 million euros: 20 million equity investment via SAFE plus 55 million in milestones, plus royalties on sales. Agreement runs 20 years from first launch. Not a related party transaction.
Positive for Lupin. Strengthens specialty ophthalmology portfolio in Europe with a differentiated, approved product. Long-term revenue via royalties and milestones.
