Lux Industries (LUXIND) laid the foundation stone for a new around 600 crore manufacturing facility at Dankuni, West Bengal under Vertical A (Lux Cozi). The plant expands from 8 lakh to 20 lakh sq ft, raising nationwide capacity from 20 crore to about 36 crore pieces per year. It will create around 3,000 direct and 6,000 indirect jobs. Funding is via external borrowings and internal accruals with a 5-year projected payback. The company reported EBITDA margins of 10-12 percent and over 25 percent CAGR over the last 8 quarters.
Major capacity boost signals strong growth ambitions and market share gains, though the 600 crore capex may pressure near-term cash flows and leverage.
