Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (MCFL) has completed the acquisition of a part of Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited's (ZACL) business, which includes a granulated single super phosphate (GSSP) plant located in Mahad, Maharashtra, along with certain related assets. The deal was executed on a slump sale basis for a lump sum consideration of Rs. 72.75 crores. The acquisition became effective on September 30, 2025, and MCFL will be responsible for operating the business from October 1, 2025. This follows the earlier disclosure dated August 29, 2025, regarding the Business Transfer Agreement.
MCFL is expanding its fertilizer manufacturing footprint by adding a GSSP plant to its portfolio, which should bring in incremental revenue from October 2025 onwards. The Rs. 72.75 crore deal is a modest, capacity-additive acquisition and is unlikely to materially shift the stock price on its own, though it strengthens the company's product mix in the fertilizers space.
