Maruti Suzuki reported total sales of 167,993 units in June 2025, down from 179,228 units in June 2024, a decline of about 6.3%. Domestic sales fell sharply to 121,339 units from 139,918 units a year earlier, a drop of roughly 13%. The bright spot was exports, which jumped to 37,842 units from 31,033 units, marking an all-time monthly high and growth of about 22%. Sales to other OEMs also edged up to 8,812 units. For the first quarter of FY 2025-26 (April-June), total sales rose modestly to 527,861 units from 521,868 units in the same period last year, supported by strong export growth of over 37% year-on-year.
The weak domestic volumes signal continued demand pressure in the Indian passenger vehicle market, which is negative for near-term sentiment, but the record exports provide a meaningful cushion and highlight growing global demand for Maruti's vehicles.
