Medi Assist Healthcare Services has been appointed as the first Health Benefit Administrator for PFRDA's newly launched NPS Swasthya scheme, unveiled on NPS Diwas (Oct 1, 2026) by the Union Secretary, Department of Financial Services. Medi Assist will provide the digital platform for claims administration, service coordination, and subscriber access via its MAven app. The scheme lets NPS subscribers use up to 25 percent of their contributions for health expenses, paid directly to healthcare providers.
First-mover advantage in a government-backed scheme; opens a potential new revenue stream from claims administration across NPS subscribers nationwide.
