Midwest Energy starts production at 1.2 GWh BESS facility in Bengaluru

Midwest Energy has commenced commercial production at its 1.2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru on July 20, 2026. The integrated Cell-to-Container plant makes battery modules, trays, racks and containerised systems for commercial, industrial, renewable and utility-scale use, with capacity range from 3 kWh to 6 MWh. Products meet UL 1973, UL 9540 and UL 9540A standards. The company aims to serve domestic and international markets as India's energy storage demand grows.
