Milky Mist Dairy Food has commissioned a new plant for manufacturing Skyr and Greek Yogurt using ultrafiltration technology at its Perundurai, Tamil Nadu facility. The new plant has capacity of up to 150 tonnes per day, set up with about Rs. 40 Crores investment funded through internal accruals and IPO proceeds. Existing capacity of 20 tonnes per day was fully utilized, and the new facility aims to tap growing demand for high-protein products.
Capacity rises from 20 to 170 tonnes per day, enabling entry into high-protein Skyr and Greek Yogurt segment without significant debt load.
