Mindspace Business Parks REIT announced a Stingless Honeybee Farming & Conservation Initiative across its Airoli (Navi Mumbai) campuses, with plans to expand further. The program, first started at Gera Commerzone Kharadi, now has over 40 hives thriving across Pune and the Airoli East and West campuses. It is led by PM-recognised conservationist Amit Godse and focuses on protecting endangered indigenous stingless bees rather than honey production. Bee populations have reportedly doubled within a few months due to the chemical-free campus environments. Mindspace REIT claims to be the first REIT in India to run such a biodiversity program.
This is a CSR/ESG initiative with no direct financial impact on the REIT's revenue, distributions, or NAV.
