On the reaction day the stock moved 1.7 pts more than Nifty 100 and 2.4 pts more than its Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Muthoot Finance has mandated Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered to arrange a benchmark-sized USD senior secured bond offering under its existing US dollar 4 billion Global Medium Term Note Programme. The notes carry a 4.5-year tenor (4-year average life), with expected ratings of Ba1 (Moody's) and BB+ (S&P). Investor calls are set across Asia, EMEA and the US today. Proceeds will fund onward lending per ECB Guidelines. The offering will be in 144A and Regulation S format.
Offshore bond issuance diversifies funding for lending; pricing depends on global market conditions and US rate environment.
