Muthoot Finance shared its Q2 FY2027 investor presentation. Standalone loan AUM rose 42% year on year to Rs 187,810 crore, while profit after tax increased 26% to Rs 5,527 crore. Q2 net interest margin improved to 11.93% from 10.41%. However, H1 impairment jumped to Rs 566 crore from Rs 129 crore, and Stage III loans rose to 3.87% from 2.25%.
Strong growth and better margins support earnings, but higher impairments and Stage III loans signal rising credit risk that may offset some gains.
