N R Agarwal Industries has received approvals from Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) for its new Multilayer Board Plant (Unit VI) coming up at Dahej, Gujarat. The approvals cover effluent disposal capacity of 2,000 KLPD (2.0 MLD) through the GIDC pipeline and assured water supply of 4,000 KLPD (4.0 MLD), split as 2,600 KLPD of Narmada water and 1,400 KLPD of desalination water. The company will need to pay around ₹4.92 crore as advance towards capital contribution and related charges as per GIDC policy. This is part of the same project first flagged on December 20, 2025, and the company has confirmed there is no impact on its existing operations.
Mildly positive for shareholders — securing water and effluent approvals is a key infrastructure step that reduces execution risk for Unit VI, but commissioning is still ahead and the small ₹4.92 crore outflow is unlikely to move the stock materially on its own.
