On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.5 pts more than its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Natco Pharma received tentative US FDA approval for Erdafitinib tablets (3mg, 4mg, 5mg), a generic of Janssen Biotech's Balversa. The drug treats adult patients with advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma with FGFR3 genetic alterations. Erdafitinib had estimated US sales of about USD 60 million in the 12 months ending September 2025. Tentative approval means Natco can launch the generic in the US once patent hurdles are resolved.
Positive for long-term US generic oncology revenue, but commercial launch depends on patent outcome. No immediate sales impact.
