NATCO Pharma completed acquisition of an additional 13.25% stake in South Africa's Adcock Ingram Holdings, raising its shareholding from 35.75% to 49%. The deal was worth around ZAR 1.81 billion (about ₹1,060 crores), executed through NATCO's South African subsidiary. Adcock Ingram is the second largest pharma company in South Africa's private and public market with a 10% private market share. The move is part of NATCO's long-term Africa growth strategy, building on its 2025 delisting participation.
Shareholders gain near-majority control in a key South African pharma asset, strengthening NATCO's Africa presence and potential for consolidated earnings.
