NSDL has received SEBI approval to invest up to Rs 20 crore as additional investment in India International Bullion Holding IFSC Limited (IIBH), a bullion holding company in GIFT City. The investment is through subscription of 20 crore equity shares at face value of Re 1 each, with NSDL shareholding remaining unchanged at 20 percent. IIBH is a consortium entity set up by CDSL, India INX, India ICC, MCX, NSDL and NSE to run the India International Bullion Exchange and depository. The first tranche is expected by August 2, 2026. The transaction is a related party deal done at arms length.
Maintains existing 20 percent stake in IIBH; supports bullion exchange infrastructure in GIFT City. Limited financial impact given small size.
