On the reaction day the stock moved 0.1 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.2 pts more than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Neogen Chemicals received a fourth on-account insurance payment of Rs 15 Crore for the March 2025 fire at its Dahej SEZ MPP3 plant, bringing total insurance received to Rs 155 Crore. Total loss recognised stands at Rs 348.16 Crore (standalone), with insurance claim receivable of Rs 334.60 Crore. MPP3 production remains suspended, with replacement plant commissioning targeted for H1 FY27. Critical production shifted to other sites.
Positive: continued insurance inflows ease cash strain. However, MPP3 remains shut, with full recovery dependent on plant commissioning in H1 FY27.
