NHPC has signed an MoA with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to implement the 3097 MW Etalin Hydro Electric Project on Dri and Tangon rivers in the Dibang Basin. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis for 40 years from the commercial operating date. It will be a run-of-the-river scheme under the state hydro power policy. NHPC will handle investigation, DPR preparation, financing, development, commissioning, and operations.
