NIBE Limited reported weak Q1 FY26 results with standalone net profit falling to Rs 389.03 lakhs from Rs 786.09 lakhs a year ago, and revenue dropping to Rs 8,119.01 lakhs from Rs 10,928.39 lakhs YoY. On a consolidated basis, net profit declined sharply to Rs 104.26 lakhs vs Rs 372.90 lakhs YoY on revenue of Rs 8,249.92 lakhs. The board accepted the resignation of CEO Mr. Ranjan Choudhary effective August 12, 2025, citing internal group reorganization, and simultaneously appointed Mr. Prakash Khose — a Mechanical Engineer with 34 years of experience across automotive, aerospace and defence sectors — as the new CEO. The board also deferred a proposed preferential issue fundraise citing current market volatility, and appointed new Cost Auditors (Gawade & Co.) and Secretarial Auditors (D Maurya & Associates, for a 5-year term).
Sharp YoY decline in both standalone and consolidated profits is a negative signal, though the seamless CEO transition with a sector-experienced replacement and the deferral of fundraise in volatile markets may be viewed as prudent governance. Shareholders should watch whether the new CEO's defence and aerospace background accelerates growth in NIBE's recently added Aviation segment, which is currently loss-making.
