NIIT Limited has acquired 70% equity shareholding in iamneo Edutech Private Limited, a Coimbatore-based AI-powered deep skilling SaaS platform, for a total cash consideration of up to Rs. 613 million (including a primary investment of about Rs. 100 million). iamneo has now become a subsidiary of NIIT, with the remaining 30% to be bought from the promoters in tranches over the next five years (FY26 to FY30). iamneo offers technology training and assessment solutions to universities and corporates, and posted revenue of around Rs. 276 million in FY25, up from Rs. 223 million in FY24 and Rs. 91 million in FY22. The deal is not a related-party transaction and no government or regulatory approvals are required.
This acquisition strengthens NIIT's position in the education technology and corporate upskilling space, adding a fast-growing SaaS-based platform with a strong revenue trajectory. For shareholders, it is a moderately positive development as the deal expands NIIT's addressable market, though the Rs. 613 million size and staged acquisition structure mean the immediate financial impact will be incremental rather than transformational.
