ChrysCapital has completed the acquisition of a 70.68 percent controlling stake in Novartis India Limited from Swiss parent Novartis AG. This marks ChrysCapital's first majority-controlled investment in the Indian pharmaceutical sector. Dr Vikas Gupta is appointed as MD and CEO, with a new board formed including Ramesh Ramadurai as Chairperson, plus Suchita Sharma and Shashank Sinha as Independent Directors. NIL will adopt a new name and corporate identity. The company markets brands like Voveran, Calcium Sandoz, and Tegrital across pain, calcium supplementation, gynaecology, neurosciences, and transplant immunology segments.
