NTPC Green Energy Limited has begun commercial operations of the third tranche of 270 MW from its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This capacity is owned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL, and became operational from midnight on 11 March 2026. With this addition, the group's total commercial capacity rises from 9,292.68 MW to 9,562.68 MW. The remaining 930 MW of the Khavda-II project is yet to be commissioned. The project is part of the broader Khavda renewable energy park in Gujarat, one of India's largest solar installations.
