NTPC Green Energy has declared commercial operation of the second part capacity of 32.8 MW out of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project in Bhuj, Gujarat, effective from midnight of 30 June 2025. The first part of 142.2 MW from the same project was already declared on commercial operation just two days earlier on 28 June 2025. Together, 175 MW of the 300 MW solar project is now operational. This project is part of the larger 450 MW Hybrid Tranche-V Project being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy.
This is a positive development for shareholders as it brings additional solar capacity online, which will start generating revenue. The rapid back-to-back commissioning of 175 MW signals smooth project execution and adds to NTPC Green Energy's operational renewable energy portfolio.
