NTPC has declared Unit-3 of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project commercially operational from 00:00 hrs on 15.06.2025. This 660 MW unit is part of the larger 3x660 MW project and is the final unit being commissioned. With this addition, NTPC's standalone commercial capacity rises to 60,266 MW, while its group commercial capacity reaches 81,368 MW. The North Karanpura project is now fully operational with all three units contributing to NTPC's generation portfolio.
