NTPC has declared Unit #3 (660 MW) of the Barh Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-I (3x660 MW) as commercially operational effective from 00:00 Hrs on 01.07.2025. With this, the full Stage-I of 3x660 MW (1,980 MW) is now commercially operational. NTPC's total installed and commercial capacity rises to 60,978 MW on a standalone basis and 82,080 MW on a group basis. This marks a key milestone as the final unit of the stage begins commercial power generation.
The addition of 660 MW to NTPC's commercial fleet should incrementally boost revenues and earnings from Q2 FY26 onwards, strengthening the company's long-term growth and capacity utilization profile.
