On the reaction day the stock moved 0.8 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.8 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Orient Cement has received no adverse objection from BSE and no objection from NSE for its proposed merger with Ambuja Cements. The scheme, approved by the board in December 2025, can now be filed with NCLT within six months. Shareholders and creditors still need to approve the deal. Both firms are part of the Adani Group.
Key regulatory clearance secured. Next steps are NCLT filing and shareholder/creditor vote. Removes a major hurdle for the merger.
