Oswal Pumps' wholly owned subsidiary, Oswal Solar Energy Private Limited, has secured an order worth Rs. 39.40 crore (including GST) from M/s Swashakthi Energy for setting up 7.46 MWp grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The project will benefit 3,729 SC & ST consumers in the Pulivendula and Puttaparthy divisions of Andhra Pradesh under the government's PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana scheme. The scope covers design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, and 5 years of operations and maintenance. This marks Oswal Pumps' first major move into the rooftop solar segment beyond its core solar pump business. The Union Budget has raised the scheme's allocation from Rs. 17,000 crore to Rs. 22,000 crore, supporting strong policy tailwinds.
Positive for shareholders — the order adds Rs. 39.40 crore to the order book and gives the company a foothold in a large, government-backed rooftop solar programme, diversifying revenue beyond pumps. Entry into PM Surya Ghar positions the company to chase much larger opportunities as the scheme scales.
