Park Medi World Limited has approved the launch of a new multispecialty hospital in Panchkula (Park Hospital, Panchkula), which will start operations on March 29, 2026. The facility is expandable up to 350 beds and will offer tertiary and quaternary care services for patients in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. Additionally, the Board approved the expansion of bed capacity at Grecian Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali (run by subsidiary RGS Healthcare) by adding 150 beds to the existing 350 beds, to be completed over 18 months at a cost of approximately Rs. 40 crores, funded through internal accruals. The Mohali hospital is currently running at 73% capacity utilization. With these moves, Park Group's Tricity cluster capacity will reach 850 beds, making it the largest private healthcare network in the region. Park Group currently operates 15 hospitals with 3,610 beds and plans to scale to 5,460 beds by March 2028.
This is a positive capacity expansion announcement, signalling growth in the company's hospital network. The Rs. 40 crore Mohali expansion is internally funded and should support future revenue growth, while the Panchkula launch strengthens Park's regional dominance. Shareholders may view this as a positive long-term growth signal, though near-term impact on stock price may be limited as details on revenue contribution are not disclosed.
