On the reaction day the stock moved 2.9 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 3.0 pts less than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Patel Chem Specialities completed expansion of its Talod plant in Gujarat, raising capacity from 720 MTPA to 4,500 MTPA (about 6.25 times). Capex around Rs 20 crore funded via bank loans and internal accruals. Trial batches have started; commercial production expected shortly. At peak utilisation, the plant could generate Rs 85 to 100 crore annual revenue.
Capacity boost supports future revenue growth and demand fulfilment, though part of capex is debt-funded which adds some leverage.
