Patel Chem Specialities has received Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for its proposed manufacturing facility at the Indrad plant in Mehsana, Gujarat. The plant is planned for production of pharmaceutical APIs and bulk drugs, including Magnesium Stearate (500 MT/month), Microcrystalline Cellulose, and various cellulose-based and citrate-based excipients, with a total capacity of 501 MT/month. The estimated project cost is Rs 19.75 crore, with Rs 241 lakh earmarked for environmental pollution control measures. The company has also committed Rs 40 lakh toward Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. This clearance allows the company to begin construction and subsequently seek a Consent to Operate from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
