Pitti Engineering's board has approved a ₹ 290 crore capital expenditure to set up a new greenfield casting and machined components facility in the Macharam region of Telangana. The project has a 3-year completion timeline and will be funded via a mix of internal accruals and lease finance. Currently, the company's aggregate casting capacity stands at 18,600 MT per annum across its Macharam and Hosakote facilities; ongoing debottlenecking is expected to raise this to 24,600 MT by FY27. Upon commissioning of the new greenfield facility, total combined capacity will rise to 36,000 MT per annum, effectively doubling the current installed capacity. The existing Hosakote facility is proposed to be monetized after the new facility becomes operational. The rationale is driven by strong OEM demand and the need to consolidate operations into a single integrated manufacturing location.
This is a significant expansion that could drive future revenue growth by doubling capacity, but it carries execution risk given the 3-year timeline and reliance on internal accruals and lease financing. Shareholders should monitor for further updates on project commencement and funding specifics.
