Pitti Engineering's Board has approved a ₹290 crore capital expenditure to set up a greenfield casting and machined components facility in the Macharam region of Telangana. The project, to be funded through internal accruals and lease finance, is expected to complete in three years. Currently, the company operates casting facilities in Telangana and Karnataka with 18,600 MT per annum capacity at ~71% utilization. With an ongoing debottlenecking adding 6,000 MT by FY27, the new greenfield facility will double total installed capacity to 36,000 MT per annum. The company cited strong OEM demand across multiple segments and plans to monetize its Hosakote facility upon commissioning.
This aggressive capacity expansion signals management's confidence in sustained demand growth from OEM customers. The near-doubling of capacity could drive significant revenue growth once the facility is operational in three years, though near-term earnings may be impacted by higher depreciation and interest costs from this large capex.
