Godawari Power and Ispat Limited has resumed mining operations at its Boria Tibu Iron Ore Mines in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, effective May 27, 2025. The mines had been temporarily suspended since April 1, 2025, due to the expiry of the existing mining plan approval. The company has now received approval for an updated mining plan from the Indian Bureau of Mines (Government of India), which is valid for the next five years until March 31, 2030. This allows uninterrupted mining activity at the site going forward.
Positive for shareholders — the restart ends a nearly two-month production halt, restoring iron ore output and revenue contribution from this mine. The five-year plan approval provides regulatory clarity and operational visibility through FY2030.
