Polyplex Corporation's subsidiary Polyplex Thailand will install a second hand 6.6 metre five layer BOPP/BOPE film line. This adds 12,000 MT per year capacity on existing 98,045 MT, with current utilisation at 80 percent. Investment is USD 15.2 million (about INR 147 Crores), funded through internal accruals. Equipment is being acquired from Taghleef Industries USA, an indirect major shareholder of PTL. Completion targeted by Q4 FY 2027-28.
Capacity to grow about 12 percent by FY28; internally funded so no debt impact. Long gestation period may limit near term benefits.
